Bio Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii I've had a love for art since I could pick up a pencil and draw. My first obsession of the visual artform came in the way of American comic books during the late 80's and early 90's. Artists such as Jim Lee, Whilce Portacio, Jae Lee, Mike Mignola and Simon Bisley inspired me in my early to late teens. Gradually my interests moved into anime and manga and found inspiration from artists like Otomo, Shunya Yamashita, Akira Toriyama, Masashi Kishimoto and Nobumasa Takahashi.
I started my career in the game industry in 2002 working on the awarding winning game series Dance Dance Revolution at Konami Digital Entertainment Hawaii. In 2006 I moved to the Bay Area working on original IP for Visual Concepts and eventually moved back to Hawaii to work on the world renowned game, Tetris at Tetris Online.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, attempting to stay fit, building and modding custom mechanical keyboards, reading(Haruki Murakami, Sci-fi - Fantasy), watching movies(Blade Runner, Gattaca, Chunking Express, Studio Ghibli), playing video games (Monster Hunter, Persona, Overwatch, Spelunky, Katamari Damashii), Snowboarding and trying to live life to the fullest without getting too injured.
I currently work remotely from Japan as a 2D/3D Digital Artist at Fiveamp, a small indie game company with a team of developers located around the world.
